Geo Moderne throw update

I completed the primary knitting and cast off of the Geo Moderne (pattern free from Knit Picks) throw last Thursday, and tonight sewed in all the ends at the Stitch n Bitch group. Whew! It took 2 to 3 days for the squares to dry after washing and blocking.

Next task with this blankie is to wash and reblock the whole darn thingy. I hope it will be even softer than after the first washing!  Piccies hopefully next week.

SnB group was most impressed and that cheered me a little. It was pretty easy to make.

Meanwhile...I have started a new project called Daphne Cardigan by Kaffe Fassett, published in Scottish Island Knits. I am using almost all the same Rowan yarns called for. I bought them near a year ago during an bi'annual LYS sale. Everybody oohed of the colors! Hee hee. Also cheered me a bit there too.

Eee! Vivienne Westwood exhibit at de Young Museum

Must see! I happened to read about it while browsing through Nylon magazine at the supermarket.  This worldwide touring exhibit is making one stop in the US and it is at San Francisco!!! Must go. Must see. I´m so lucky I live near enough to be able to drive over there in an hour. Hopefully, it will be inspirational.
